Apologies for no post last week, but I was busy Comic Conning. I decided this year that I am done with the whole Comic Con booth thing. I didn’t come close to breaking even this year. Not worth it! I’m hoping to find another way to attend without all the overhead. Maybe I’ll just attend and do some signings next year. By then, if all goes as planned, Bearmageddon Vol. 1 will be out!
I also apologize for posting late today. I got wrapped up watching Sharknado 2 after a long day at work.
Ethan
You never need to apologize for Sharknado.
Sharknado needs to apologize for Sharknado. =P
it shoulda been Bearnado
(SeattleBubble and Bearmageddon on the same page? Mind blown!)
Additionally, Ethan sir: disregard the folks who use the comment feed to whine when an update doesn’t make it out exactly on time. You’ve probably got a busy schedule to begin with, and on top of that, you entertain the world. Reminds me of the Little Red Hen: a person who’s not paying for the comic and who’s not helping produce the comic shouldn’t behave like they’re entitled to the comic: they should just be thankful it exists. =)
That’s a shame about Comic Con. Had I not been on another continent I’d have definitely come to the booth with a little spending money. I hope the time spent there wasn’t a total waste though.
And posting late on account of Sharknado 2 is completely acceptable.
I remember visiting a Axe Cop both you had a few years back in Portland. I was just getting going on my web stuff (still kinda am actually)and I had really wanted to talk to you about somethings but there was a guy in front of me who just wouldn’t stop with his demands on the sketch he was trying to get you to do. You were totally professional though. You did look a little tired though. The experience was really intimidating so I just bought a sketch and poster and tried not to make it worse. I can only imagine what it must be like if every time you go to a Con is like that even if it’s only a few people here and there and then after all the traveling you do you don’t even break even.
