I am so happy that we are back in color! Kailey did a great job on this page and I think she did an awesome job of keeping the coloring style consistent with the great work Noah was doing earlier on the comic. Hopefully the same hand remains damaged in every panel from here out. I can’t guarantee anything though.
Ethan
Aw, nuts. I was hoping he’d punch it…. nothing happens. Then the bear back hands him. But, the way is played out is 100% awesome.
Aww yiss, color iz back!
Well at least he’s still alive–I figured the bear would kill him.
Shouldn’t the credits say that Kailey did the coloring, not Noah?
Lesson learned. I’m glad Gogs didn’t die, now he’s set up to grow into being a hero for real! I’m calling it now! Gogs is going to save the day while still having a crippled hand!
Awesome page! Color just brought the fight to life. On another note, thank you for taking my suggestion to not give the bear speech bubbles. I could hardly wait to see how it would be in color. It made the fight look much more primal. The other way made it look too much like a cartoon to me. Props man.
Defeating bears is a matter of fighting head with head……
I don’t mean to say I told you so, but…
You know, for just a tiny moment, I thought Gogs might actually win.
Yessss. Sweet colors!
Well, depending how mean-spirited Ethan is going to be, Gogs may lose that hand to infection. Good thing Killdeer could run 6 blocks as soon as he heard that first roar.
Oh well now he can get a giant bear-killing hook hand
In a true apocalypse fashion statement, I vote that Gogs get his right hand replaced with a chainsaw.
Having his hand nearly bitten off by a bear is probably the best thing that’s ever happened to Gogs. Now he kinda has to come to grips with the fact that surviving Bearmageddon isn’t going to involve turning into some kind of rock star bear killer superhero.
So glad color is back. I love black and white comics too, but Bearmageddon is better in color
Awesome. And sad. More, please!
So I once checked out the Myspace page of the band that did the original Axe Cop theme song, and now I’m listening to “Wolf Slaying as a Hobby” while reading this. It almost fits, doesn’t it?
