Well, it’s been a month since my last post, and for that I apologize. Things are going to get better though, at least for a little while. I finished my big Axe Cop deadline and have been penciling Bearmageddon pages. Part of the slow down is that I rewrote a lot of this scene so it was rather laborious to draw and write at the same time. The upcoming scenes are much more ready to go in my mind (and script), so it will be easier to just slap it down. Also, I think we will be getting colors back soon, hopefully. I am working on that.
It has been interesting as I have courted and married my wife, Dickinson is making more and more sense to me. I was never so willing to take on whatever is thrown at me as I am now, and I can see it in her eyes, when she knows I am willing, she feels safe and it brings out the best in her. And I am no macho man. It’s the willingness. It goes a long way.
In any case, thanks for being patient with the slow posts, and thanks for the birthday wishes. Every time I draw this comic I remember why I love drawing it so much.
Ethan
Ethan it is just as you say. It is fine and challenging place to be.
So glad to have you back, Ethan! I love that you’re putting in the effort for this even though your life is crazy!
Keller!
I think that last panel should be a shirt. or a poster. something.
I knew it, Keller’s falling for Dickinson. I see Killdeer Jr.’s in the future.
I am reminded of the alt text to that XKCD comic about the wind turbines.
“…for Man has earned his right to hold this planet against all comers, by virtue of occasionally producing someone totally bat$#!* insane.”
There is something about reading one page at at a time, not knowing what’s coming next, that’s not present when you have a book in hand. I like this thing.
A bear invade a twon. Alone, but still :

It’s your fault !
What a page! And on that close up I got a real Sharlto Copley vibe for Dickinson.
Hey, so congratulations on the marriage dealio! I hadn’t heard until now, if you mentioned it before.
Why is all the power out? Are the bears deliberately targeting power generation or distribution? It seems like normal bear activity would be unlikely to cause blackouts, but I guess these aren’t normal bears.
